Hello all

Things are very very tough here right now- thankfully the RA is behaving on the Cimzia (ThumpUp ) but life in general is extremely hard. There are people on here that are posting in need of support and I am not able to do the posts as much as I would like.

For those of you who are "friends" on facebook you will know that our middle daughter has severe mental health issues relating to her poor early start prior to adoption. She is in a specialist therapeutic unit now and it is second to none really for the therapy and support it offers.

She has got herself into a new pattern of behaviour which involves absconding. She couldnt be more vulnerable in anyway really and the long and the short of it, she has been found to get as far as London.

Just an utter utter nightmare.

I get frantic with worry and Richard got into such a state he was physically sick.

Michael knows something is up so we explained that Gemma has got herself doing some difficult behaviours and he replied "thats what she is there for, isnt it?" and really he is right.

The next few wks are going to be a rocky ride. I am thinking of you all and on here reading every few days even if I do not post.

I am going to have to find a way of getting much much better at this.

Much love

Jenni xx

Hi Jenni,

So sorry to hear how bad things are for you at the moment. I hope Gemma stops the absconding very soon, it's such a worry for you and Richard.
Don't you worry about posting on here, we know you think of us, just as we are always thinking of you when you don't post for a while.
Sending lots of love and hugs, will be thinking of you and Richard and hope things get easier for you.

Love, Doreen xx

Hi Jenni

Good to hear all is going well with the Cimzia and making your life so much better, its such good news.

Sorry that you and Richard are going through so much anguish with your daughter at the moment, hope the problem will be short term, no doubt it will but no less a worry for you. We all understand if we lose you a little just at the mo, and grateful to hear from today, as you know we all care and worry about you too.

Oh Jenni - my heart goes out to you, and Richard too. Nobody could ever have warned us as new parents of the awful heartaches and fears we might face. But then no-one could ever have explained the fulfilment and joy either.

I know what it is like to live on adrenalin, waiting for the next bad news. It is horrible! Hope you can get some peace of mind about Gemma and that she gets every shred of help and support from those around her to enable her to stay safe and make progress.

Really glad to hear that the news meds are working. Like Julia and Doreen said, don't worry about posting when life is so very busy. Thinking of you lots xx Ailsa

Jenni - don't apologise for not taking part at the moment. You have always done more than your fair share. But ... FAMILY COMES FIRST - that's what we say in our family and whatever else is happening, you look after yourself and your family. For heavens sake Jenni, you have had such a rocky road to travel lately, you should not feel the need to carry everyone else. Of course we will miss you, but we will manage and look forward to when you feel you can join in again and give the wonderful advice you always seem to have.

My thoughts and prayers for love and strength go to you all.

Ann

So sorry to hear of this latest trouble, Jenni, life seems so unfair. As a parent I understand the heartaches we all go through, but you could well do without this.

Glad the Cimzia is going well, and I hope Richard has improved. Don't worry about the posting, we all understand.

Love Lyn

Oh Jenni, I'm just so very sorry to hear this latest about Gemma, when I read about her getting as far as London I did come out in goosebumps, you and Richard must be going through absolute hell right now. She has lots of determination and initiative, but is so very vulnerable bless her.

My heart goes out to you all and hoping so much that all the worry wont affect your progress on Cimzia, so long awaited and deserved, and cause poor Richard's condition to worsen.

No idea what to say to help you other than I am constantly thinking of you and sending you a very big, but gentle hug.
Take good care Jenni,
Love Liz

So sorry to hear this Jenni, just when things had started to get better for you.

Ann is right, family must come first. You've always given us all such wonderful support but you need to concentrate on you and your family at the moment.

Sending you all love

So sorry to hear about Gemma. I thought things were going quite well in her new environment. I can't begin to imagine the emotional rollercoaster you and Richard are riding. Always thinking of you Jenni.

thank you all

Gemma is a little more settled. She is a troubled soul and we just have to pray that whatever happens she is watched over.

Richard and I are going to a really posh hotel on friday- for a meal and a night (Its the Norton Park hotel nr Winchester and looks lovely) I intend to relax by the pool and eat a lovely meal with the man I love.

Really very touched by all your kindesses to me and the family.

Love

Jenni xx
